Swiatek to Badosa: "Soon we'll be playing a Grand Slam final together".

Swiatek to Badosa: Soon we'll be playing a Grand Slam final together.

Against Paula Badosa in the Billie Jean King Cup on Thursday, Iga Swiatek needed just three sets to dispose of a Spaniard back at a very high level of tennis (6-3, 6-7, 6-1).

Giving her nation the winning point, the Pole reflected on the hug between herself and Badosa at the end of the match. She said: "I wanted to apologize for something that happened during the match.

And I told her I was glad she was back playing such good tennis. And finally, I told her that I hoped we'd soon be playing a Grand Slam final together."
