That's really petty": Rick Macci dismantles Zverev after his comments about Sinner and Alcaraz
Alexander Zverev's remarks about court speed and alleged favoritism toward Sinner and Alcaraz haven't pleased everyone. Rick Macci, former coach of the Williams sisters, bluntly put the German player in his place on social media.
Alexander Zverev's comments at the start of the Shanghai Masters 1000 had sparked numerous discussions.
The German player, who has since been eliminated by Arthur Rinderknech in the round of 16, had complained about the standardization of surfaces and tournaments' supposed desire to favor Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
Former coach of the Williams sisters and always ready to engage on social media, Rick Macci didn't hold back when addressing Zverev's statement:
"Zverev and others are complaining that tournament directors are adjusting court speed to favor Alcaraz and Sinner. That's really petty, just because they're on another level. Just get better on any court speed and it won't matter anymore.
