The Djokovic-Fritz match, the sole match of the night session at the US Open, will begin at 2 a.m. in France

This Tuesday evening, the schedule for the night session at the US Open was disrupted by the withdrawal of Marketa Vondrousova. Injured during training just hours before stepping onto the court, the Czech player, who had been in good form in recent weeks, had to withdraw before facing world number one Aryna Sabalenka.
The match was supposed to start at 1 a.m. French time (7 p.m. in New York). Tournament organizers had to urgently meet to potentially adjust the schedule and add a second match to Arthur Ashe Stadium, but ultimately, no changes were made.
As a result, no doubles match will be moved to another court, and the second men's quarterfinal between Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz will finally begin at 8 p.m. local time (2 a.m. in France). The winner will face Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals.
