The goal is to win the Davis Cup for the third time in three years, reveals Volandri, captain of Italy

Filippo Volandri, captain of Italy’s Davis Cup team, has revealed his ambitions for the 2025 edition of the Davis Cup.

With the world No. 1 in his ranks, he naturally aims to go all the way in the competition, especially since Italy boasts other top-tier players and will host the Davis Cup Finals at home in Bologna.

Speaking to *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, he said: "The goal is to win the Davis Cup for the third time in three years. And we’ll play every match at home.

We have such a strong and versatile team that if one player falters, others are in top form.

Even at Wimbledon, despite the early exits of Berrettini and Musetti, we were pleased with three Italians reaching the round of 16, Cobolli making the quarterfinals, and of course, Jannik’s title.
