The unyielding determination of Dimitrov: "Nothing stops him" despite his injury at Wimbledon

After a forced withdrawal against Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon, Grigor Dimitrov has been fighting to return to the tour. At 34, the Bulgarian faces real challenges, but his determination and discipline make him an example of resilience.
Grigor Dimitrov has been injured since Wimbledon. After experiencing several physical setbacks in recent months, the Bulgarian, who was playing an excellent match against Jannik Sinner in the round of 16 on the London grass, withdrew due to a pectoral injury after a serve, despite leading two sets to zero against the world's top-ranked player at the time.
Since then, Dimitrov has been in rehabilitation and has not played any official matches. Missing out on the Masters 1000 in Toronto and Cincinnati, he also missed the US Open, marking the first time he has missed a Grand Slam since the same American tournament in 2010.
Despite the disappointment of withdrawing while leading, Dimitrov did not delay his rehabilitation. In fact, the player's girlfriend, Eliza Gonzalez, posted an Instagram story in which the Bulgarian was in full physical effort just two days after his injury against Sinner in July (see video below).
"Two days after the injury. Nothing stops him. He's the hardest worker I know, the most disciplined," Gonzalez wrote on the social network. For now, Dimitrov, 34, has not announced a date for his return to the tour and is not registered for any tournaments in the upcoming weeks.
Currently ranked 28th in the world, the 2017 ATP Finals winner, who does not want to rush things, continues his fitness work before his return to the tour in the coming weeks.
