"There will be a lot of equations to solve," Bonzi and Herbert take on the Croatian doubles specialists in the Davis Cup

This Saturday, Benjamin Bonzi and Pierre-Hugues Herbert will don the tricolor jersey for a crucial Davis Cup match against the formidable Croatian pair Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic. The two French players shared their thoughts ahead of this weekend's showdown.
The decision had been confirmed by Paul-Henri Mathieu in recent days: Benjamin Bonzi and Pierre-Hugues Herbert will play the doubles during the Davis Cup tie against Croatia this Saturday, September 13th.
The French pair will face off against Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic, specialists in the discipline, and will aim to secure a valuable point for their team in this match. The two players discussed their upcoming duel against the Croatians with the French Tennis Federation.
"They have won a lot; they are true specialists. I know them very well, even though it's been a long time since I've faced them. They will have the crowd behind them. Yes, it will be difficult, but we are well prepared. The Croatians can be intense, even extremely borderline. But it seems the crowd in Osijek is more benevolent," Herbert first stated.
"We have a slightly more hybrid profile than them, since I am primarily a singles player and P2H (Herbert) has also been very successful in singles. I expect a complicated match in this doubles. They have a lot of experience; they have won many titles. There will be a lot of equations to solve.
It's a great match to play. Pierre-Hugues knows them much better than I do. He has told me about them. We can't wait to be there. I am prepared for all options on Saturday, even to play singles as well," Bonzi analyzed on his part.
