Au lendemain de sa victoire marathon sur Djere en demi-finales, l'Autrichien n'a pas pesé bien lourd en finale. Malgré le soutient de son public, l'ancien n°3 mondial a été neutralisé en 1h20 et 2 petites manches par l'Argentin.
