Tsitsipas officially out of the running for the Masters, a first since 2019

Tsitsipas officially out of the running for the Masters, a first since 2019

Stefanos Tsitsipas, beaten in the quarter-finals in Paris, will not be playing in the season-ending Masters, a symbol of a 2024 year below his standards.

Since 2019 and his explosion on the circuit, the Greek had always managed to qualify for the Masters. He even won the event on his first appearance, beating Dominic Thiem in the final.

But this season, he has fallen out of the Top 10 (he will finish in 11th place) and his best Grand Slam result was a quarter-final at Roland-Garros.

Tsitsipas also had a turbulent end to the year, having ended his collaboration with his father Apostolos last summer. Without a coach since the American tour, he is currently accompanied by the captain of the Greek Davis Cup team, Dimitris Chatzinikolaou.

It remains to be seen whether he will decide to team up with another name to start 2025 on a better footing.
