This record-breaking figure hadn’t been seen since the Nadal-Federer final in 2011. For the match point, 9.5 million viewers were tuned in to France 3, accounting for 46.8% of the audience share.
On the women’s side, the final between Gauff and Sabalenka drew 3.15 million viewers (40.5% audience share) on France 2, peaking at 5.1 million during the match point. For comparison, this was the most-watched women’s final since Henin faced Pierce in 2005 (4.1 million viewers, or 42% audience share).
