Coming through the qualifiers, the Monegasque player delivered an exceptional run by successively defeating Djere, Bublik, Machac, Griekspoor, Rune, and Djokovic, before triumphing in the final against his cousin Arthur Rinderknech.

This Wednesday, the ATP named Vacherot as the "Newcomer of the Year." He was competing with Jack Draper, Jakub Mensik, and Joao Fonseca.
The winner was chosen following a vote that included the 29 players who have held the world No. 1 ranking in tennis history.
Now ranked 31st in the ATP rankings, the 27-year-old player is set to compete in Grand Slam tournaments starting next season, with his first expected appearance at the Australian Open in January.
