In 2020, during the first round of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna, Novak Djokovic, the number 1 seed, faced Filip Krajinovic in a friendly duel. After a tight first set, the higher-ranked player pulled away in the second and ultimately won (7-6, 6-3).

In this match, Krajinovic scored some beautiful points, including one that he finished elegantly at the net. Djokovic, impressed by his opponent's point, could only concede (see video below).

After winning this first-round match, he then dominated Borna Coric in the round of 16 (6-4, 6-4) before suffering a heavy defeat against Lorenzo Sonego, then a lucky loser, in the quarter-finals (6-2, 6-1).
