Video - Medvedev's outburst against Fritz!

Beaten by Taylor Fritz in the first match of this Masters 2024, Daniil Medvedev was the author of several improbable sequences in the second set.
Already on edge in recent weeks, the Russian cracked again in front of the Turin crowd. He first lost the first set after three consecutive double faults. A scenario that took him out of his match.
Trailing 6-4, 4-2 in Fritz's favor, Medvedev began to have fun with his racket. He threw it repeatedly into the sky to try and catch it, and even attempted a return with the racquet handle.
At the changeover at 5-2, he had an exchange with the chair umpire asking if it was possible to get a worn ball and also mentioned the fact that he wanted to give up (see videos below).
This behavior seems to illustrate the general fatigue of Daniil Medvedev, who will have to beat the loser of the match between Jannik Sinner and Alex De Minaur to stay in contention at the Masters.
