Jannik Sinner delivered a masterclass to the crowd at the Central Court of La Défense Arena against Félix Auger-Aliassime.
The Italian is clearly in form for his first indoor final in the French capital: fiery defense, half-volleys, a splendid lob—the world number 2 showcased the full range of his game in this first set.
Although the San Candido native has already faced the Canadian twice this season (Cincinnati and US Open), they are nonetheless tied in their head-to-head meetings (2-2). Furthermore, Sinner arrived in Nanterre with confidence, boosted by his title at the ATP 500 in Vienna, his second after 2023.
