Video - When Djokovic Comforted Dimitrov After the 2023 Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 Final

In 2023, Novak Djokovic won the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 for the 7th time in his career. One year after his suspenseful final loss to Holger Rune, the Serbian responded perfectly by winning a controlled match against Grigor Dimitrov (6-4, 6-3).
While Djokovic claimed his 40th Masters 1000 title (and his latest to date), Dimitrov, on the other hand, played his second final in this tournament category, more than six years after his victory at the 2017 Cincinnati Masters 1000 against Nick Kyrgios.
In tears after the match, he was comforted by his opponent of the day, who was in the middle of an interview with tournament media (see video below). A few months later, the Bulgarian reached another Masters 1000 final but could not overcome Jannik Sinner in Miami in 2024 (6-3, 6-1).
Currently sidelined with a pectoral injury and absent from the tour since Wimbledon, the world No. 28 was not far from reaching another final in Florida this year but fell in the semifinals against… Djokovic.
