Zheng on the year-end Masters race: "Reproached my team for not providing for me".
After an excellent 2024 season, Qinwen Zheng has not yet secured her place at the year-end Masters, the tournament bringing together the eight best players of the previous season.
Currently ranked 9th in the Race, which only takes into account results from the previous year, the Chinese player will have to fight hard to secure her ticket.
When asked about this, Zheng explained: "It's really funny. I reached the final of the Australian Open, but after that, I didn't take certain tournaments seriously and didn't accumulate enough points.
Judging by the points I have, it's hard for me to reach the WTA Finals this year.
I even blamed my team for not warning me earlier about qualifying for the WTA Finals.
Now I feel the pressure, but there's nothing I can do. All I can do is give my best in the competitions."
