I get the feeling Tsitsipas likes to be in the limelight.

I don't think I quite follow Ljubicic's logic. Maybe he didn't express it in English the way I'm reading it? Anyway, from the time Federer won his first major in 2003 to the when Djokovic won his last one in 2023, they won 66 out of 86 majors. They won 66 majors during that period. They had no consistent challengers over that period. If we take the time period from 1975 to 1995 we have Borg 10, Lendl 8, Wilander 7, Edberg 6, Connors 5, Becker 5 and Agassi 3. That's seven different players capable of competing for majors on a much more consistent basis. Maybe that's the point Ljubicic is trying to make. From 1993 to 2003 before Federer won his first major, Sampras dominated with 14 and Agassi 7. The remaining some odd 60 tournaments were won by a list of players who only won one or two majors during that time period. In reflecting upon these time periods, consider the transition in tennis rackets and strings where tennis went from a game with a lot of serve and volley and much more net play, requiring more finesse, to one where the power and control delivered by the rackets almost completely eliminated the serve and volley aspect of the game.

With Monfils retirement eminent, it's great that there's someone he can pass the torch on to. One to watch for the future. Keep going Moïse 😊
