No rivalry on the WTA will ever be regarded as remotely similar to Sinner Alcaraz in quality, ticket sales, or viewership yet they will still recieve the same pay. The WTA is no closer to the ATP than the WNBA is to the NBA, and for all the same reasons.

Without fans professional tennis would essentially cease to exist on any substantial level. And sadly many fans like drama and conflict so spice up the competition.
