I would say becoming filthy rich when you're very young probably has a huge influence on a person's lifestyle. All world class athletes are obviously gifted/blessed with incredible raw athletic talent, but that doesn't mean they're also gifted/blessed with the type of temperament that's going to drive them to exploit the former to it's maximum potential. Alcaraz seems to have learned early how to manage his temperament along side his incredible athletic gifts. Otherwise he might turn into a mental case like some other athletes have done and never come close to his potential.

I think the whole point is that the winner earns enough already and it's the lower ranked players that need to get paid better FFS.
