Coco hasn't proven she is slam material. Her mentality has not improved. She is consistent but one can be consistent "not winning a slam" like Pliskova. We see players like Emma who were unknowns getting ahead before Coco. More youngsters are coming

Ash is usually pretty rusty on her first matches back. Coco must be playing well. It’s all about whether Coco has improved mentally and can finish this as quick as possible.

Jozef... Calm down mate... Barty hasn't played in over 4 months so obviously she's rusty and Gauff is playing incredible so credit where it's due

Crazy remarks on here....gauff has been good but Barty has played so many weak shots and given her lots of points. Now she's upped her game and looks far superior.

Coco is a consistent hitter and has a very good serve for her age. The mentality isn’t there yet but may be in the future. You can’t help but think she has too much time to not win slams but stranger things have happened.

Ash is a tricky player, she knows how to get out of difficult situations and she then runs away with the match, very difficult to play mentally.

The crowd werent even cheering for coco and I'm so pleased because she has to learn you can't rely on them all the time

She was playing an Aussie in Australia.. Of course the crowd wasn't going to be on her side
