What excites me most about the situation Konta is in at the moment, is that the top 10 is literally within her reach. If she wins this tournament, which I know is very unlikely, she will become the No. 10, and only based on 6 months worth of 'major' points.

Talking about unlikiness though, Serena looks to be having trouble atm, and that would completely open up the tournament for everyone if she were to go out, so maybe not so unlikely. This could be someone's breakthrough tournament....

Obviously though, I am well aware that anything can happen, and she could lose the next 10 games, but I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed anyway.

Seumas Mac
Well done Jo, one down.

And Doi equally Vinci's first set points after the 2nd game. Looks like this may be a tighter match, which will be good to watch.

thayton8198
And double fault gives the second break. Don't tell me we're gonna get another bagel....
1
Wendymancini
Could be - don't mind if there is lol
1
Wendymancini
Nope lol. Jo needs a fight after yesterday
1
Wendymancini
Yes agree completely thayton. My fingers are crossed too

Common Jo, early break again
1
Wendymancini
Oh come on Jo - hold here and break back.
1
Wendymancini
Think this is going to a 3rd set!
1
Wendymancini
Yes, well done Jo!

Her main problem has been getting her serve in, but it looks like she may just be able to pull this back.

She has won from 5-1 down before; beat no2 Halep last year by winning the last 6 games from 51 down.

Wendymancini
Lol
