@Divij: That message is for Aemelius. And that analysis was for his previous message where he mentioned it took 21 years for Fed to win 20 slams. And Nadal won 18 slams in 18 years.

You will look like an idiot if you try to interfere.?

@Aemilius: Rafa won his first slam at 2005 RG. And his last slam is 2019 RG as of now. So,
14yrs for 18 slams.

Fed first slam was in 2003 Wimbledon and last slam was in Australian open 2018. So,
14.5yrs for 20 slams.

Who is faster??!

So let's see if by 2019 Rafa reaches 20 slams. Unfortunately, Novak is there.

Also, Novak is phenomenal as well.
First slam is 2008 AO and last slam in 2019 AO. So, 15 slams in 11 years.
Rafa took 12 years to reach 15 slams.

But Roger took JUST 6 years to reach 15 slams!! That is GOD right there for you!!! ?

This will be a tough test for fed

Jo is probably a good opponent to warm up for Wimbledon. Roger in straights though.

Federer fan

Ameilius funny how your goat gets outperformed by the likes ok Federer, Sampras, Djokovic, and even Murray on BOTH Grass and Hard in terms of total titles and winning %

Tennis is played against an entire tour, h2h is but an aspect against 1 single player.. ATP isnt made up of a single player, it's thousands of them across generations.. Federer is the GoAT of the Open Era simply because of his achievements and records.. it's funny how you'd push Nadal for GoAT when so many of them are leading him across two surface (though Murray fell short in HC slams, he's better than Nadal though, in terms of total titles and winning% on Grass AND Hardcourt).. Nadal is King of Clay, Federer is GoAT

Fed looks like a Dairy Queen soft serve chocolate ice cream. But nothing soft about his serve.

Srikar Kotha
All the best Federer

jeet123
Then dustin brown n kyrgios are GOATS as they have 2-0 records against nadal n djokovic. As h2h is more objective

Good job Jo! ???
Roger, time to step it up! Vamos!!

He knows when to break doesn't he?

A match is a match, right Aemilius? Perhaps your goat is lucky too. ?

Federer fan
Great match by both.... Well played Jo but not enough to beat the goat

Cmon Rog!! ❤❤??
Sorry Jo. ?

Straight sets win for the king
2
Aemilius
Fed hasn't beaten Jo since 2014, and he hasn't gotten any younger since, so Jo will win. ? Bye bye Fed sheep ??...
2
Madan
@Aemilius: You are absolutely right. Jo will do what John should have done. John should have lost 6-2 6-1, instead of taking a set to a tie break. Now Jo will lose quickly to Roger.

I don’t know how much maths u studied but 20>18>15 hence
Fed >Rafa>Djoker..cheers ??
2
Aemilius
I don't know which math are you talking about, the H2H score is 24>15 for Rafa vs Fed. That's the most objective metric. The number of GS is a different story with different factors, but even there:

Fed - #GS: 20, years pro: 21, avg GS/yr = 0.95
Rafa - #GS: 18, years pro: 18, avg GS/yr = 1.00
Novak - #GS: 15, years pro: 16, avg GS/yr = 0.94

RAFA IS THE GOAT ?

If Rafa had 3 more pro years like Fed, he'd have 21+ GS

That's the math.

Rafa Nadal: “if someone says im a better player than Roger, I will say they do not understand tennis”

Case closed. Now stop wasting yours and everyone else’s time.

Here’s the thing the way math works is, you can’t pick and choose which equations to count and which not to. Sure Nadal does lead Federer in h2h and Federer will be reborn again and never win 12 RG but at the end of the day, we have to consider all the formulas and weight which players is the more versatile. let’s see what Rafa leads in: h2h, masters, and that stupid equation you thought of relating slams and yrs on tour. Fed leads in: slams, number of titles, weeks at number 1, number of WTF titles [now there’s a topic you want to avoid], wins over top 10 players, the fact that he’s been able to compete at an incredibly high level across 3 different generations, the list goes on and on. I’ll let you decide which player has the better resume.

vscholz66
Coric vs Nadal 1 - 0
Kyrgios vs Nadal 1 - 0
Brown vs Nadal 2 - 0

Dustin Brown is the goat! ?

I can’t see Fed winning Wimbledon

It would be an insult to all the legends of previous generations if anyone is termed as GOAT.. Racquets aren't wodden anymore, training qualities improved . Surface quality improved . Technology developed.. most of the unforced errors are now attributed to players..
Almost all kinds of shots.. FH.. BH.. slice..Different kinds of serves ..etc ..were all invented before by legendary players. So that the current generation fine tune and practice ..
2
Aemilius
Alrite Siddhu, touché. ✌
You have a point.
2
Madan
@siddu.msk: There were many legends in this sport. We have 3 legends playing at the same time now.
Fed has invented many shots himself.
@Atharva: It's on SonyLiv
