Getting sleepy already so don't know if I can last another hour for this big match. Hate to let down all my fans and followers who await my wise predictions and expert commentary on rules and regulations of tennis worldwide. This is the match that everybody is saying that Halep is gonna beat the crap out of that young whippersnapper they call Co Co. If I am awake towards the end of the 2nd set, I then will make my expert prediction on the winner of this match after carefull study of court conditions.

Ok, Gauff has had a good run but Halep seriously deserves to get to the quarters and beyond. I’m afraid that Gauff will win here and then lose in the quarters, making her victory over Halep a waste...

No victory is a waste. I dare to say, and as much as I adore and admire SI MO NA, I would like to see Coco win this match. And this hurts. So good.

Cori has done amazingly well to get this far @Wimbledon this year.

But I can not create a universe where a 15yr old Cori can beat Simona, not sure it exists yet.

I understand & agree it would be nice for Cori to win this....... but as we Halep fans know her state of mind, I seriously think Simona [even with a major in her back pocket] would struggle to recover from losing this match.
I know that sounds crazy.
But I think it's true also.

For me it would surpass her play from 5 - 2 down onwards in her last match.

Divided here. Coco is the revalation of the Championship so far this year, and I'd love to see her do really well, but I am a huge fan of the Halep game and so it's a win-win for me I guess. Shame someone has to lose!

My heart wants cori to win but odds are against her. Simona will definitely keep her focus to seal the deal. Win or loose cori definitely won some heart.

The way Gauff strikes the ball is a beauty.

This really is impressive so far. Both are defending remarkably. Exactly what I had hoped for. No fear tennis.

The girl is 15 years young. No matter the outcome today she is already a winner here. This is her 7th match, winning some amazing matches along the way. I hope she has a big career ahead of her.

I fear all this attention will go to Coco's head. She's too young for this. Don't want her to be another Osaka. She already has a HUGE future ahead of her so let's allow her to soak it up slowly while she's still young.
