If I were Simona I would go indulge on the gloriously delicious Spanish cuisine and lots and lots of sangria! ?????????????????????

Mmmm I agree Christine. Can't beat the Spanish food or sangria ❤

This maybe more competitive than their previous matches. Pliskova yet to lose a match on clay.

Halep returns Pliskovas serve well and it pisses Pliskova off like there is no tomorrow. She relies heavily on it. Plus the defense of Simo and the fact she gets Pliskova on the move. Its a good match up for Simo. If she plays well she'll win

Did I hear (read) sangria!!?? Yummmm. ?

I just can't seem to warm up to Simo. She never listens to her coach and just plays her game her way. I ❤ Cahill, he's too good of a coach for her.

She is a stubborn player!

HALEP!!!❤❤❤

Their previous match at last year's French Open SF was extremely competitive & close.

vishruth246
I feel like pliskova is moving really well though. Probably better than she ever did.

Radu Bunda
Someone tell her she's not playing Krystina anymore. ;)

TonyM
Bye Simona, better luck next time

Plisko's been playing the best since USO final recently but still Halep's to lose I think. Seems like Halep's game is kind of in Plisko's head based on previous interviews.

Remember Pliskova at AO saying, I don't what's going on, but everything I do goes her way. Is it the speed? No I use my speed and she uses my speed and in the end I'm the one who's running???...for me Halep is the worst opponent...???

vishruth246
I didn’t say she would win (I betted on halep) but said she would make this a lot tougher than their past matches.

Lets go Simo

Revenge for your sister Karolina, go!

christinenelles88
Keeps playing the middle of the court.
2
Radu Bunda
2nd serve is still such a liability. That and netplay prevent her from being a solid #1 and from winning slams.
2
Radu Bunda
@TonyM: Simo is playing at her average level, while Karo came prepared.
2
goochy009
Good news is it was a very poor set from Simo but she was still right in it. Loads of room to improve in the 2nd set
2
Radu Bunda
It's just not her day: either plays in the center, or tries the lines, but going long, so she can't find the confidence of taking risks.
2
Radu Bunda
If she didn't find her groove by now, little hope from now on. Hopefully the frustration of this loss will give her the necessary motivation to do well in Rome at least.

Mark Core
Pliskova has made massive improvements with her movement. Never seen her retrieve this well
2
goochy009
She hasn't really been forced to retrieve. Simo keeps hitting up the middle or makes an error
2
christinenelles88
Pliskova definitely playing a strong game. Simona was playing tenative and making way too many UEs.
2
goochy009
Pliskova has played rather well. But Simo has had a real bad one here.

Yummmmmmy

I agree she is in pliskova's head though.
