It is Simona's time! I am very confident, after what I have seen today against Mugu( incredible grit and desire to win like never before) that Simona will mean business Saturday. The cherry on top is the fact that Virginia Ruzici got an honorary ceremony a couple of days ago; 40 years since she won Roland Garros, the only Grand Slam by a Romanian woman, EVER! Dang, what a wonderful closing of that gap this would be!!!

We are a small country, with "small" in stature people( Nadia, Hagi, Simo) who have done BIG things for our nation and put it on the map for all the right reasons; that is why, we come to understand that things like these happen once in a generation for us and to witness this today gives me joy and pride. Tennis is an individual sport, but Simona has always played for the country too. Bless you, " micuța marea" noastră!!! ( Bless you our "little big" girl)
