Really, suddenly we all know what Med thinks about this situation?

We don't know either way and it does not matter what he thinks or Roger thinks, it is just a plain obvious objective case that the nr. 2 should also be treated with respect in terms of courts he play on, he could have gotten a match on CC also, plain fact, and then we did not have his match to be finished only today or this current debate, easy as that.

To say it does not make a difference ... really? We could give numerous examples of past GS how it does have a big influence. Yes, if you win it all, wonderful, but if today or the QF or semi starts going to a TB after 5 hours on the court, and then the final itself, then suddenly these small details make a big difference between players that are so good and then it is the small detail that makes the difference in the end.

It Novak did not have the extra rest day before Stefo final in RG 2021, he would have lost most probably, in 2020 RG his heart and passion was in it, but playing the 5 setter against Stefo made his chances of a good match worse. I still believe Rafa would have won it, definitely, even if Novak was fresher, but Novak would have given a bigger fight. I mention it to say detail, days, rest, etc. makes a big difference.

Stop all the emotional rantings against the obvious fact, no matter whether it bothers Med or not, the fact that Med's match only finish today ... almost 24 hours AFTER the other 7 guys, means a rescheduling of his rest, training, programme, getting ready again to play in less than 24 hours, etc. could have a big influence, one must be very ignorant and spiteful to say it is nothing and won't have any influence.

Let us hope it will not have a big influence, and that tennis will win, and that the old farts of Wimby has learned their lesson well in scheduling and having respect for all players, also nr. 2's. 💪👍

A nobody that won Miami and is already in the 4th round of wimbledon 😲🙄 it will be a tough loss but not to a nobody as not all of us here have won a premier 1000 event.

Wimbledon organisers fucked it for Daniil

Congrats & well played Hubert 🇵🇱👏👏👌& so thru to the 1/4 finals.

Congrats to Hurkacz! This was a surprise considering Med was 2 set to 1 up. But Med has lost from 5-1, with match points at 15-40 against Nadal in WTF 19.

Every day is a new day in tennis. Anything can happen. Even to the greats. Forget about the new number 2 Med. I missed this as I was out. Anyway, this is interesting indeed. Fed has a legit shot of reaching the finals.

When you have a (very) weak argument ... pull out the 'hate' word... of course the players, both Fed and Med have nothing to do with it, but the organizers clearly know what they are doing when a nr. 2 must go outside and others not given one match outside ... denial is a strange thing.

It"s a real shame and disrespect for #2.
I don't know if playing on CC was one of the conditions for Fed to be temporary released from the nursing home?! :)

micheald1
Stop with your fkng theories already, med is the world number 2 and he deserves to play on CC matter closed.
But stupid organisers don't fking dare to put that old ass on other courts, biased, double standards 😠😠

Whoever wins they will get good tennis lesson from maestro in next round

The big test for goats will be, Novak v Denis, and Fed v Matteo, let's see what the young gen can do against the old dogs.

bastion
Med now on 10 370, Novak at 11 313...

I remember how someone said Novak will not be nr. 1 from April onwards, too much to defend.... 😉

Novak can get to 12 000 here at Wimby, almost 4 000 ahead of Nadal and 8 000 ahead of Fed ... yes, the Goat race really getting close now... 😳😬

Milutin
They knew today will be rain, and they put Med here, so he will play tomorrow and he will not have time to rest against Federer
3
Adir Haim
Med will show all this Federer fans with the win against the grandpa
3
Madan
The number 1 played on court 1 once. But there is a roof available on court 1 in case it rains. Fed is the most successful Grass court player EVER. He deserves centre court. He may still play court 1 on Wednesday. But certainly this match deserves court 1 and Zverev can be pushed to court 2 based on seeding.
3
bastion
That is why there are rules, rankings, etc. for all players, whether you nr. 1 or 100, this prejudice is just sad.
3
micheald1
Whatever that old ass will never win one more title forget a grandslam, if not med then Novak will kick his a** .😁🤓 ,be ready for one more heart break.

Medvedev will definitely win today if he plays the way he did yesterday and play Roger tomorrow. Against Roger also Medvedev may play Court 1. They may give FAA vs Matteo the center court. But does it really matter?! Center court or court 100, we all know that the better player on that day will win the match.

@jeet123 -- Let's wait for the results. Let's wait till the tournament is over. I have noted down the comment from @bastion in Fed vs Gasquet match about taking 10 years for Fed to beat Novak.

Also these comments from @AdamS and this @Milutin guy. Nursery home?! Grandpa?! Of course they are on a high and are sure that Roger will lose.

Let's see who is going to win on Sunday! Fingers crossed!🤞

Med is playing some real good tennis.... in quarters he can create problems for Fed.... but any way really excited for this quarters because if at all federer has to reach finals this type of hurdles required to take the confidence... even beritini too playing some real good tennis...

@bastion: This is all mainly due to the manic Monday thing with Wimbledon. Let's say they made Med play in Court 1 instead of Zverev. Today it would be FAA who will have to play the extra day. Similar thing happened multiple times before. Stan played 3rd, 4th, and QF in b2b days here in Wimbledon 2014.

Med certainly deserved Court 1 at least due to his seeding. No one is denying that. But good thing is he is 2 sets to 1 up and possibly few games away from victory. Many players practice for an hour during off days. Even if this goes to the distance, it is hard to say Med will have difficulty tomorrow. Anyway, they are removing Manic Monday from next year. So Wimbledon should be more fair just like the other GS. Long back, they had the Super Saturday at the US open which was far worser than this Manic Monday. Everything is changing for the good.

What a terrible idea to put tennis ball stickers to show where not to sit, that would freak me out as a player seeing 100s of tennis balls while I'm trying to focus on the real one!!!
3
leonkelly
Federer is definitely going to the final. If so, he will take the trophy. I’m hoping for that. I wouldn’t be disappointed if Daniil can fight through this and win and then go on to the final and take the trophy.
3
Lee Johnson
They put Fed on centre because he sells tickets. Why would they put this flop out there and lose money?
3
varun1999
Rublev Zverev Tsitsi also lost. What should they do?
3
jeet123
Hurkacz took a set off djoker in wimbledon 2019 so he is not a unknown phony
3
Bikash Shukla
Hurkaz is not a nobody he is seeded 14th and he has some real good serve to back his game... not easy for Roger at all but I think he will manage...
3
csekarhere
Agree Jeet, we all do the same. If someone doesn't beat the Top3 then comments are that it's not worthy of a GS win, stars were used for Thiem's win in US open. That's not Thiem's fault. I would like Roger to beat Novak and win but if Novak loses early or Roger loses and Novak wins without playing anyone in the top 10 whole tournament, it's still a win of a GS
3
Pritam
Novak will break Steffi Graff's record of 377 weeks or so
3
AdamS
To bad that, since beginning of this year, we don't count the #1 weeks anymore!
Not really important!
3
AdamS
Jeet, of course that it was fair that #2 never plays on the CC, while, in the mean time, Fed grow bigger roots there than the grass from the court!
No favoritism at all!
How can someone even think that?
