It's been so very long since an American man won Wimbledon. Sampras in 2000... I too would enjoy seeing a Cindefella story here. Shake this tennis world up some.

Plot twist: Eubanks is the one to finally defeat Djok and becomes Wimbledon champion 2023

Kian Clarke
come on eubanks

I like Med too, I think he is amusing and not so PR constrained but Eubanks is such a great story I want him to win it all, but of course there is also reality like Alcaraz and Novak in the way.

Don B.
Chris can win this match...
3
Christine N
@happy...that would be a happy ending to this year's Wimbledon.

Chris just needs the fitness. He's got cash in the bank now and I would expect some sponsorship will arrive at his door after this and his popularity. He can push on to get the support in place to get to the next level.

Hmm, heart says Chris, brain says Med, but I don't like Med, so let's go Chris 👍

Keep going Eubanks.

I like to think of myself as an Earthling.

Nice to chat. I'm happy either way but if someone can guarantee Eubanks a title I'll cheer my little heart out for him!

Christopher losses QF against meddy in Miami but this is different surface here... let's see

Possible 🍌🍌, for Daniil 🇷🇺 in this match, as Christopher 🇺🇲 is capable of getting the win, as he's got nothing to lose & plenty to gain. 🤔

Don't think eubanks has the necessary mobility to be sucessful in this match vs med. its definitely something his prize money and higher rank will maybe give him room to work on
1

Just think of Med does get to final vs djoko somehow thay he has that awkward variability that can put djoko off track at times.

Rune it's the fighter element
Alc it's the speed and shot making
Sinner it's the alround game and intelligence

The British don't like Russians do they? As a rule.
1
Christine N
Big set from Chris. Match just over an hour too.
1

I think Chris can and has made things interesting.
1
Christine N
He has 36 winners already.

And out of nowhere!!!
1
Christine N
He appears to sense no fear! And why should he. He's playing with house money.

Medi will back

@Christine N. The British government don't like the Russian government.

The citizens of either don't collectively have a view either way - perhaps more focused on where the next meal is coming from.

It would be niave of us Brits to suggest that Russia citizens are somehow victims of their government's control any more than we are
1
Christine N
@Dan...why would they...it's completely understandable.
1
VillageIdiotDan
Yup, for too long our rulers have played our anger off against others (see Scotland v England) to avoid the attention turning to them
1
Christine N
Well as an American I absolutely understand your point.
1
VillageIdiotDan
Now, things would be alot better if we could think at that level!
