This is in fact Emma's first win on the WTA tour. Her crown at the US Open will always be legendary, no matter what.
She is still learning, for the fools who criticize her just for throwing hatred at her.

If you put to much pressure on these teens they will fall apart. Let them learn with the proper training as she is a good

No disrespect to Polona but match quality is very poor... Emma is playing very bad even if the score line says otherwise... clearly struggling with expectations and pressure. And probably being too hard on herself for not being able to replicate that exact form in flushing meadows.

Time for Emma to recall her old coach. He got her to Wimbledon 4th round, final in Chicago and US open winner. Now she can't beat her shadow. Eat humble pie and come back to earth.

She’s not lost yet. Polona has to finish this off which will be an ask with her lack of wins this year. On the other hand Emma hasn’t a lot of experience in long matches.
