I dont think Monica can beat Caro. But I do think Kerber could. Simo has a great chance against Pliskova to. Its a good match up for Simo. Pliskova always struggles in there matches.

Well played again Simo. Keep this up

Besides. There's so much more to tennis than serving!

Halep will need to beat pliskova after this one to have a shot at the number 1 ranking this week (assuming woz loses in the quarters to Angie/Svitolina). Tough task!

Radu Bunda
If she wins this. Nastya has been winning more and more games with each of their last 4 encounters, while Halep's serve was pretty bad today.

Hai Simona!

Goochy, I hope you didn't jinx both Pliskova & Halep with that comment.

Nice set Simo

Points are gathered from consistently winning matches. Is she a power house...maybe not. But few women possess monster serves. I suppose it comes down to opinion for some. I find that winning matches gets a player to #1.

Yet another tough draw for Halep from round 1 on....meanwhile Wozniak gets 2 walkovers into the qf.
TudorT
@atmospherist - Monica should be able to beat Caroline. Thoughts?

Hahaha

Simona is not number 1 material. Period!
christinenelles88
Cici v Simona...what a match that could be!
Khan Alihasan
Points doesn't matter to me if she doesn't have the serve and attacking game which is expected from numero one player in the world.
Radu Bunda
Serve is worse because of the ankle (no practice for 2 weeks). It might cost her the match. :(
christinenelles88
She's got this.
christinenelles88
Great finish!
Khan Alihasan
You are right Christine. It's a matter of preference and she will never be a number one player in my book
Khan Alihasan
And i didn't say she needs to have a big serve but her serve is very slow and jelena(who was a nobody until then) won the French because of attacking her serve.
Not only that her game at the net needs a lot to be desired and lastly not to forget her mentality.

Limoges: Krejcikova withdraws during the 3rd set against Sevastova
Clément Gehl 09/12/2025 à 15h16
In Limoges, Barbora Krejcikova experienced a return as promising as it was frustrating. Trailing, then coming back, only to be abruptly stopped by pain, the Czech player left the court, visibly affected, reigniting concerns about her right knee.
