Simona has one of the highest percentages of return of serve in the circuit, Serena's serve now is much more impressive compared to Wimbledon in 2019, Simona's serve has also been quite impressive at AO 2021. Not trying to simplify, but what's left is...Simona has wheels and Simona can go the distance longer than Serena. Serena is the best on hard, Simona's least favorite. It's going to be amazing...either way. Go at it ladies, it will be a show!!!

Wow, other than khan here there's not much of the normal venom at serena here. It's refreshing to see some great comments. I like serena for the win but like someone said, hard to see her outplay halep for more than a set....

Not about size! Give Serena credit for the hard work she puts in. Henin was smaller and had a great record against Serena. It’s not about size. Stop trying to make excuses and give credit where credit is due.

Hey. My sleep pattern is screwed right now, but it's too good to miss this Slam. I'd love to see Rafa and Serena take the title(s). Hsieh is sort of, the real deal. As in quirky for real. Everything Naomi tries to be, but naturally. Her smile and laugh is infectious. Reminds me a little of Li Na, who was so funny.

Meanwhile, back to this match, Halep's serve is better than I can remember seeing it, but Serena has that look in her eyes, reminds me of those two absolutely stellar years (13 and 15) and we all know what that means.. I'll never forget that quote by HRH Billie Jean KING... You're only as good as your second serve...

Sick of comparison to Madge Court, crazy religious nut job. Serena is miles ahead of her already, bugger the 24 titles... 🤣🤣🤣

@Derrick if that's all you have to say about any of these incredible players it's an offense for all of us to read it. Fair play, make constructive comments about their game!!!

Sarena in 2 sets if she can get her first serve on point

Serena in 3 is my guess, but it’s hard to say

I remember her match at Wimbledon made serena look like a rookie

Hopefully Simona 🇷🇴 can take the win today, in a close fought 3 set match. 👍✌

God I've been so tired in the last few days watching all these 1:00 a.m. matches here in US with Simona, and this one definitely cannot be missed I might have to take day off tomorrow from work...🤣🤣🤣

Love them both, slight preference for Halep to go through but toss of a coin time!

Wow, Serena looking in great physical shape. Love Simona but she was made to look very average today, rather than playing a bad game

Serena wants it. Bad. Her statement piece.

Halep in 2

Funny enough, a lot of tennis expert predictions put Simona as the slight favorite and winning in 3. Wow!!! I wouldn't want to be in a position to make a prediction. This match can go either way.
