Actually Novak will most probably lose to Grigor at any phase in this particular tournament. He needs some games to build momentum and confidence and starting with a grand slam is not a good idea. Grisho, on the other hand is in great shape and played some tough 3 setters in Brisbane.

@tenischo: You are most likely right, definitely if you just watch them on the "paper". But one thing to keep in mind is that Grigor hasn't done well yet again the big three. So I would say that Novak has a huge psychological advantage which should not be underestimated. I would love to see Grigor start winning against the biggest names this year, that is the final big step that he needs to take in his career, in my opinion.

I of course mean that Grigor hasn't done well against the big three yet RESULT WISE (win lose ratio). He has definitely done well play wise, several times, most notable recent example is of course last years AO semi against Rafa, one of the best matches of the year btw. But he needs to make those matches tip over to his advantage. That would be a massive achievement if he could take that step which I'd love to see.
