There's no stopping Collins now - she'll be playing in her 2nd WTA final in 10 days in Charleston!
Danielle Collins qualified for the final of the WTA 500 in Charleston on Saturday. On the green American clay court, the world No.22 clearly dominated Maria Sakkari, world No.7, in 1 hour 24 minutes and two sets (6-3, 6-3). It was her 12th straight victory on the WTA Tour, following her title in Miami last week.
In the final, she will face Daria Kasatkina this Sunday. The Russian, world n°11, created a surprise in the 1st semi-final by defeating Jessica Pegula, world n°5. She won after a hard-fought battle lasting 2 hours and 47 minutes (6-4, 4-6, 7-6).
