He was in some kind of war with the locker," Agassi shares an unusual anecdote about Nadal
Invited on Andy Roddick's podcast, Agassi revealed some insights about the Roland-Garros legend, Rafael Nadal. The former champion shared a never-before-told story from the time when the Spaniard was just 17 years old:
"I was at Roland-Garros. I don’t remember which year. There was this 17-year-old kid, and I remember that in the locker room, his locker was jammed. He was trying his code, and I thought to myself: he’s a beginner, he doesn’t know, he’s trying to figure it out. Then I heard him grunt and try again.
Then he started hitting the locker. I wondered if this guy was serious. And then, at some point, it opened, and I heard him yell 'vamos.' He was in some kind of war with the locker, and he was winning. That’s when I thought to myself, I can’t beat this guy.
