A new major role for Craig Tiley in 2026? Director of the Australian Open since 2006 and head of Tennis Australia since 2013, the 63-year-old executive could soon leave his positions.

New boss of American tennis?

According to Sportico, Tiley is on track to become the new director of the USTA (United States Tennis Association), the American tennis federation.

The USTA has indeed been without a director since last summer, following the departure of Lew Sherr. Tiley is expected to succeed him after a recruitment process that lasted nearly six months.

His presence at the next Australian Open (January 18 - February 1) remains uncertain, as he could take up his new duties in the coming weeks.
