Djokovic on the photo of his medical examination after the Australian Open: If some legends of our sport hadn't made comments, I wouldn't have reacted

At the end of January, just after his Australian Open semi-final exit against Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic published a photo of his medical examination showing his torn thigh.

This publication was mainly aimed at John McEnroe, who had doubted the veracity of the Serb's injury:

"If certain legends of our sport hadn't made comments, I wouldn't have reacted. When certain things stay on social networks, no worries.

But when it gets to the point of questioning my integrity and the credibility of what I say, when legends of the sport say it in front of millions of people, I feel the need to react."

It will be nice to see if all the players go on strike and refuse to play any tournament until sinner is given the maximum penalty

Novak not my favorite but he is completely right here to defend himself. I doubted him too during the Alcaraz match and believe now I was wrong.

He lost the first set on a close tiebreaker. He was playing very well, so quitting at that point didn’t make sense. Still doesn’t.. like Johnny Mac said, he’s done it before.
