"We will not be able to say that we haven't done everything for him": Ivan Ljubicic gives an update on Moïse Kouamé
Considered one of the hopes of French tennis at only 16 years old, Moïse Kouamé has experienced a setback in his progress this year with a back injury that he has been carrying since the summer.
In an interview given to L'Equipe, Ivan Ljubicic, head of high performance at the French Tennis Federation (FFT), briefly discussed the case of the young French player:
"Regarding Kouamé, he is still training with Philippe Dehaes, but he can use all the facilities of the National Training Center (CNE), from video analysis to physical preparation. There is no one in the world who has such a strong and professional structure. We will not be able to say that we haven't done everything for him."
This puts a certain amount of pressure on Kouamé, who competed this year in the Madrid Masters 1000 qualifiers, defeated by Botic van de Zandschulp in the first round (6-3, 6-2) as well as in the Roland-Garros qualifiers where he lost in three sets to Pol Martin Tiffon (2-6, 6-4, 6-3).
