Just hours before the start of the ATP Finals: Novak Djokovic, freshly crowned in Athens, has decided not to participate in the Tour Finals. An absence that slightly alters the schedule.

This is an announcement that has disappointed many. Barely recovered from his epic victory against Lorenzo Musetti in Athens, a three-hour battle to clinch his 101st career title, Novak Djokovic has confirmed his withdrawal from the ATP Finals in Turin due to a shoulder injury.

Thanks to this last-minute withdrawal, Lorenzo Musetti gets an unexpected second chance. The 23-year-old player thus joins the Jimmy Connors group, composed of Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur.

On his side, Félix Auger-Aliassime, who was counting on Musetti not winning the Athens tournament, inherits a spot in the Bjorn Borg group, alongside Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and Ben Shelton.

But while the 2025 ATP Finals will begin this Sunday, November 9th in Turin, the organizers have ensured at least one day of rest for Musetti before his first match:

- 2:00 PM: Alcaraz vs De Minaur

- 8:30 PM: Zverev vs Shelton

(Between the two, at 6:00 PM, the pair Bolelli/Vavassori will face Cash/Glasspool.)

Thus, Musetti will take to the court on Monday, November 10th:

- 2:00 PM: Musetti vs Fritz

- 8:30 PM: Sinner vs Auger-Aliassime

Injury. Yeah, whatever. More like the opposition is going to be tougher, so can't be bothered.

Don't think it matters where opponents are tougher. Nothing for the GOAT to prove. Lol

He already holds the all time record 7 ATP finals, dude!

24 GS all time record and so many others, on and on...

The young opponents can enjoy the ATP finals, eh!

Let the GOAT rest and enjoy his time with families and friends.
