Except that you didn't make the same argument when it came to 38-year-old Federer, doing much more than this at 38 and even at 38½ y/o.
Should I give you a quick reminder of what Federer was capable of at that age?
He completely cornered 32 y/o Novak in the final, before ending up losing it at the super tiebreak.
Two days before, he had given no chance in the semifinal to 33 y/o Nadal.
4 months later, he beat Novak quite soundly at the ATP finals.
I could also mention that when he entered Wimbledon 2018, at 37 y/o, he was still ranked n.1, despite the presence of Rafa and Novak in full schedule (Novak was in a bad period, but Rafa not at all).
Remember this, the next time you feel like disrespecting Roger.

Djokovic is a great player (many would say "the greatest) but he is up against it and especially with these younger players. I saw Djokovic playing the other day and you could see that he was breathing very hard. It is still great that he made it to the semi final but this is as far as I think he will go.

Very poor quality match from Novak. Disappointing, but still absolutely incredible he was able to make the semis considering his age.

I really hate to say this. But I officially don’t think Novak will win another gs. This is the match that confirmed it. The fact is, there are 2 guys that are objectively better than him right now and with them in the picture, it’s going to be close to impossible for him.

It's just about time to hang up the racquet for ole Nole. At this point, Djoker needs BOTH Alcaraz and Sinner to either sustain injuries or suffer improbable early upsets to realistically win another Slam. A fitting curtain call would be next year after one last run at the venue he long dominated—Melbourne Park.

Hoping this goes to 5 grueling sets!
