Is this a joke? Yes, anyone can win, but not because it's more competitive, but because there are far fewer competitors who can consistently play at a high level. Which of the top players can be trusted to show up one tournament after another and play near their highest level consistently. Not one. And beating a Sabalenka or Rybakina who shows and plays terrible ... well that's not exactly 'competition'.
