Video - Dethroned from his world No. 1 spot, Alcaraz has arrived in Turin!
For his third participation in the ATP Finals, Carlos Alcaraz has indeed set down his luggage in Turin, the event's location.
The Spaniard, freshly dethroned from his world number one spot, arrives in Italy with a vengeful spirit. Beaten in his opening match in Paris, he had not suffered a defeat that early since the Miami tournament in March (Goffin: 5-7, 6-4, 6-3).
But while the native of El Palmar hopes to claim one of the few titles missing from his record, his recent form indoors has left some fans and observers skeptical.
Indeed, since 2022, Alcaraz has faced difficulties at the end of the season and his participations in the Finals have not been very conclusive so far: a semi-final defeat to Djokovic in 2023 and a group stage exit in 2024.
Finally, the shadow of Sinner also looms over him. The Italian, the defending champion, will begin his tournament full of confidence after his successive victories in Vienna and Paris.
