Hugo Gaston faced Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals of the Antwerp tournament in 2024. The Frenchman delivered an outstanding performance to win 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.
He also scored the point of the match: drawn to the net after a backhand from the Australian hit the net tape, de Minaur then played a lob. But Gaston had enough time to chase it down and unleash a blind smash that seemed to come from another world.
A magnificent winning shot that earned him a standing ovation from the Belgian crowd.
