Swiatek beats Noskova in 2:30 at Doha

Iga Swiatek made it through to the quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 in Doha against Linda Noskova.

After losing the first set 7-6 in 1h02 of play, the Polish titleholder had to get her act together.

In particular, she struggled to read her opponent's serve, as Noskova produced 16 aces. In the end, she prevailed 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.

In a post-match interview, she said: "It's always difficult to play Noskova. I was solid right to the end.

It was complicated with her serve, which was not far from perfect."

Swiatek will face Elena Rybakina in the quarter-finals, which was the poster child for the final of the 2024 Doha tournament.
