Panatta: "Sinner's Victory in Riyadh is Worth Nothing"

Jannik Sinner has once again shone, winning the Six Kings Slam for the second consecutive year with a victory against Carlos Alcaraz (6-2, 6-4).

On the set of the Italian program La Domenica Sportiva, Adriano Panatta, a legend of transalpine tennis, shared his thoughts on his compatriot's result:

"I don't want to be a killjoy, but these performances have limited value, both technically and emotionally. I did exhibitions like this when I was playing, and we're talking about another century, so I know how little they're worth."

Nevertheless, he acknowledges clear progress in Sinner, particularly in his serve, highlighting "a very solid match," "much better than Alcaraz's":

"Against him, it looks like a game of ping-pong, it's scary when he plays like that. I want to see this duel with Alcaraz in Paris and especially during the ATP Finals: those will be real matches."
