Official: Djokovic equals Federer with a 17th appearance at the ATP Finals!

Time seems to slip right off Novak Djokovic. At 38 years old, the world number 1 has just added another line to an already monumental career: 17 appearances at the ATP Finals, thus equaling Roger Federer's record.

Since the event's creation in 1970, no other player had achieved such consistency at the top. "I'm not chasing records anymore, I play for the pleasure and for the challenge," confided Djokovic, who now joins Federer (17) and solidifies his lead over Agassi (13), Lendl (12), and Nadal (11).

Since his debut in Shanghai in 2008, Djokovic has turned this Masters tournament into his favorite playground: seven titles, epic duels, and an ability to raise his level in the most tense moments.

But this 17th qualification has a special flavor. Not only does it further cement his place in history, but it also marks the continuation of a legendary rivalry with Federer, even after the Swiss player's retirement.

Turin is therefore preparing to celebrate, once again, one of the men who redefined the very notion of longevity at the highest level. And while the Alcaraz-Sinner competition seems poised to challenge, who's to say the Serb isn't capable of another feat, one more time?
