I know how to beat him, but it's not that simple," admits De Minaur after his 13th loss to Sinner

Alex de Minaur cracked again against an unplayable Jannik Sinner: thirteen encounters, thirteen defeats. In the press conference, the Australian described with frankness – and a touch of fatalism – the monstrous demand imposed by the world number 2 in every rally.

For the thirteenth time in as many encounters, Alex de Minaur was beaten by Jannik Sinner. The Australian didn't play poorly, however, holding his own for several games in the first set before succumbing to the world number 2's precision in the second.

He reflected on this latest defeat in the press conference:

"I've played Sinner many times and I know how to beat him, but it's not that simple (smile). You have to hit very hard, very flat, very deep, and aiming for the lines a lot. I try to do all of that, but it's not that simple.

On top of that, you have to serve perfectly, and I wasn't efficient enough in that area in the second set. If you don't serve well, you're immediately in trouble: he runs you around the baseline with a very high pace, whether it's with his forehand or backhand.
