Anisimova Reveals Her Mother's Advice That Helped Her Win Her Match Against Swiatek

Amanda Anisimova and Iga Swiatek were playing their qualification match this Wednesday at the WTA Finals. Despite losing the first set in a tie-break, the American managed to regroup and ultimately win the match.

After the match, she explained that if she managed to come back into the match, it was largely thanks to a piece of advice she received from her mother.

She explains: "My mother keeps telling me that I've won so many matches in the third set this year. That I am very strong and that I can do it. I kept thinking about it, knowing that the match against Iga was incredibly difficult."
