Australian Open: Moutet complains about allocation of practice courts

Corentin Moutet, ranked 69th in the world, will kick off his 2025 season at the Australian Open against local Alexei Popyrin, the tournament's #25 seed.

This promises to be an interesting first round, to be played on Tuesday, probably on one of the main courts at the Melbourne venue.

In anticipation of his match, the Frenchman complained on his X account that he had asked the organizers on several occasions to be able to train on one of the three existing main courts.

This request was repeatedly refused, while his opponent, Popyrin, benefited from this favor from the tournament management: "Impossible to train on a big court when you're playing an Australian at the Australian Open.

Four days in a row my request has been turned down and his has been granted."
