If ChatGPT created the perfect player, it would be Federer": Juan Ignacio Chela expresses his admiration for the Swiss

If ChatGPT created the perfect player, it would be Federer: Juan Ignacio Chela expresses his admiration for the Swiss

For the former player, Federer is not just a champion by the numbers, but the embodiment of ideal tennis, a player that even artificial intelligence would imagine as the perfect model.

With his elegance on the court and his achievements, Roger Federer has marked an entire generation of tennis fans. The Swiss icon remains the favorite of former tour players, like Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela.

The latter, who reached a career-high ranking of 15th and won six ATP tournaments, gave an interview to the media La Nación. He discusses his admiration for Federer, who in his opinion is the greatest player of all time:

"In terms of numbers, he has been surpassed. But for me, he is the greatest. I was able to face Nadal, Murray, or Djokovic. Against Roger, I only took one set from him in Miami. I was a player who needed rhythm, who needed to play rallies of six or eight shots. I couldn't do that against Roger.

He would pull me off the baseline, whether with his serve, a drop shot, or his returns... If you ask ChatGPT to create the ideal tennis player for you, I think it will create Roger.

Of course, the others have surpassed him in terms of numbers, but no one has his ease, his talent, and his class.

Many players play with ease, talent, and class, plus have a far more entertaining and exciting game than Roger.
