Tokyo WTA 500 Tournament Draw: Paolini and Rybakina Present, Another Muchova-Vondrousova Duel, All-Canadian Clash Between Mboko and Fernandez

Next week, another WTA 500 tournament takes place in Asia. Following Ningbo this week, Tokyo, the Japanese capital, will host some of the tour's top players.
Still competing in Ningbo, Jasmine Paolini will be the number 1 seed. With a first-round bye, she will enter the competition in the round of 16 against Wang Xinyu or a qualifier.
In her section of the draw, note the matchup between Karolina Muchova and Marketa Vondrousova. The two Czech players already faced each other in Ningbo a few days ago, with Muchova winning in straight sets (6-4, 6-3).
In the other half of the draw, Elena Rybakina will play her first match in the second round against a Canadian player, who will be either Victoria Mboko or Leylah Fernandez.
The latter has not won a single set since her title at the WTA 1000 in Montreal in August. Ekaterina Alexandrova and Clara Tauson, the number 3 and 4 seeds respectively, are also guaranteed to enter the competition in the round of 16.
Among the interesting first-round matchups, Diana Shnaider will challenge Dayana Yastremska, Sofia Kenin will face Anna Kalinskaya, and Belinda Bencic will meet Bianca Andreescu. Find the full draw for the Tokyo WTA 500 below.
