I saw Djokovic driving it": Holger Rune buys himself a Porsche 911 without even having a license

Holger Rune just bought his first car, and not just any car. Inspired by Novak Djokovic, he fell for a very particular model.
It was an almost ordinary scene in Miami, on the sidelines of the tournament: Novak Djokovic arrives driving a Porsche 911. That day, Holger Rune found his dream car. And a few months later, the 22-year-old Dane decided to buy it for himself.
"I saw Novak driving it in Miami this year and I thought: 'Oh wow, this car is incredible.'"
However, this isn't the first time the player has glimpsed automotive luxury. Having already won twice in Munich (2022 and 2023), where BMW is the main sponsor, he had received two brand new BMWs, but he was never able to drive them. The reason? He still didn't have his license.
So Rune's new acquisition is the very first car he has bought with his own money. A Porsche 911, with prices ranging from $122,000 to $241,000 depending on the model.
"This is the first car I've actually bought. I started taking a few driving lessons, then I went to China. So, no, I still can't drive it but it's waiting for me.
