Sinner solid in his Paris debut: 6-4, 6-2, and a 22nd consecutive indoor victory!

Three days after his triumph in Vienna, Jannik Sinner was back in action in Paris. Facing Bergs, the world No. 2 delivered a lightning-fast demonstration: 6-4, 6-2, 1 hour and 27 minutes of play, and a 22nd consecutive indoor victory. A stellar start that launches his quest for a first title in Paris.

The world No. 2 faced Zizou Bergs for his debut in the den of Paris La Défense Arena. After a first opening game lasting 13 minutes where he managed to break his opponent's serve, Sinner rolled through his tennis to win 6-4, 6-2 in less than an hour and a half.

The Italian now extends his streak of consecutive indoor victories to 22 and will face Francisco Cerundolo tomorrow for a spot in the quarter-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters.

It should be noted that Sinner has never reached this stage of the competition in his four previous appearances at the Paris tournament.
